John L. Tylock, age 65 of North Tonawanda, N.Y. formerly of Dunkirk, N.Y., died Wednesday August 31, 2016 at Millard Suburban Hospital in Amherst. He was born December 31, 1950 in Dunkirk to the late Leonard and Dorothy (nee Borkowski) Tylock. He attended Dunkirk schools and was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, ’69 and St. Bonaventure University, ’73. John had a long and distinguished career as an Investigator with the New York State Department of Labor. He is survived by his wife Rita Ann (nee Ewell) Tylock, of North Tonawanda, NY: his sister Gerry (Eric) Eklum of Jamestown, N.Y., and step-daughter Gwen Hunt of Tonawanda, N.Y. He also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
John was a member of the Elks Club, and the St. Bonaventure Alumni Association. He was an avid fan and supporter of St. Bonaventure University basketball and longtime fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Friends may call Monday, September 5, 2016 from 4-7pm at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia, N.Y., where funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 6 pm. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
