Robert “Bob” Frontuto, age 84, of Forestville, N.Y., died Tuesday

February 5, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Buffalo. N.Y. Bob was born April 15, 1934 in Bloomfield Township, MI. to Rocco D. and Violet Haveman Frontuto. He was raised in Forestville, attended Forestville schools and graduated from Forestville High School. Following high school, he went on to Jamestown Community College where he earned an associate’s degree in psychology. Bob worked at Excelco Development in Silver Creek, Welch’s in Westfield, and retired from the NYS Department of Transportation as a supervisor. Bob was a member of the Westfield Moose Club. On July 12, 1955 he married Frances A. Clark. The couple was married 53 years at the time of her passing.
Bob is survived by six brothers: Joseph (Helen) Frontuto, of Ripley, Charles Frontuto, of Jamestown, Peter (Carol) Frontuto, of Jamestown, Paul (Marsha) Frontuto of Forestville, Edward (Dorothy) Frontuto, of Florida, formerly of Brocton, and Elmer (Patricia) Frontuto, of Jamestown; two sisters: Betty (Joe) Lansky of Monroe Falls, OH., and Rosealie Braymiller of Fredonia; grandchildren: Stacey (Timothy) Parsell of Forestville, N.Y, Amanda (Nathan) Rogers of South Carolina and Robert Frontuto III of Brocton, N.Y.; also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parent, Rocco and Violet Frontuto, and his wife, Frances, Bob is predeceased by his four children: Robert Frontuto, Jr., Brian Frontuto, Joseph Frontuto and Dorie Mead; three brothers: William “Buddy” Frontuto, Alfred “Butch” Frontuto and Gerald “Jerry” Frontuto and a sister, Evelyn Brown.
Calling hours will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, N.Y., where funeral services will be Saturday at 11am. Interment will be in the Forestville Cemetery.
