Last I saw Marie was in October of 2017 at Justin and Lonna's wedding in Georgia. I remember being impressed by her tenacity to travel at such an advanced age and of course her smile. She is the mom of one my dearest and longest held friends John, whom I've known for 44 years. I asked her that afternoon if it would be ok if I gave her a hug. She broke out with that great big smile and exclaimed "I love hugs!". Sweet. All things are transient and Marie left us knowing that hers was a life well lived. Well done!
