Obituary

Bud” Richard Willey, 89, formerly of Bear Lake, died Thursday March 26, 2020
at the Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. Bud was born November 10, 1930 in Union City, Pa., the son of Reid and Emma (Cross)
Willey. He was raised in Union City, Pa, attended Union City Schools and graduated from Union City High School. On September 27, 1952, Bud married the former Joanne Delcamp. Mrs. Willey passed away in 2015.

An electrician by trade, Bub was a member IBEW #106, working as an electrician for the last 30 years. Prior to joining the IBEW, he managed a Loblaw’s Grocery Store in Erie, Pa, and was an Insurance Agent for the Prudential Life Insurance Co.
Energetic by his nature, he enjoyed flying both small airplanes and model airplanes. He also enjoyed wood working and building model airplanes. Above all, he enjoyed spending time at Bear Lake with family and friends. He was a Mason and a long-time active member of the Tri-Church in Brocton.

Bud is survived by his 2 sons: Mark, his wife Sandy (Maggio) Willey and David, his wife, Deborah (Woleben) Willey; his daughter-in-law, Kathy (Hammond) Willey;
8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; besides his parents, Reid and Emma Willey and wife, Joanne (Delcamp) Willey, Bud is predeceased by his son, Rick Willey, who also passed away in 2015, and 6 siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date due to the COVID-19 Virus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in the memory of Bud’s late wife, Joanne Willey,may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of WNY, 6215 Sheridan Dr. #100, Williamsville, NY 14221 or the American Stroke Association of WNY, 5488 Sheridan Drive, Suite 300, Williamsville, NY 14221.
