Born on January 27, 1931 in Buffalo, NY to the late Herbert and Cassie (Abbey) Pierce, Fran lived in the Fredonia area her entire life and attended Fredonia Schools.
Upon marrying the love of her life, Art Lepp, she became a full time homemaker, dedicating her life to raising and caring for her seven children. The love she had for her children, home, friends and family was boundless, and she often opened her door to nieces, nephews and neighbors, caring for them as her own.
Fran’s early life was filled with cooking and homemaking, and in her later years she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, putting together puzzles, reading, observing birds, enjoying nature, going to casinos and traveling. Fran and Art were snowbirds for years spending winters at their second home in Hernando, Florida. Fran also enjoyed people-watching, which once led to her witnessing and identifying a purse snatcher.
Fran is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Lepp; children: Cassie Rose, Arthur (Barb) Nolan, Beverly Hallquist, Kimberly (Alan) Stewart and Susan Nolan, all of Fredonia, NY and Michele (John) Yorke of Dunkirk, NY; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters in-law: Marge Pierce, Martha Pierce and Marge Slominski and many nieces and nephews—all whom she loved dearly.
Besides her parents, Fran is preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Nolan II, a son Harry “Rook” Nolan, his wife Bertha and their son Harry “Bud” Nolan, sons in-law Ronald Rose and Gerald Hallquist; siblings Howard Pierce, Robert Pierce, Richard Pierce, Herbert Pierce, infant Ellen Pierce and Doris Slater; several brothers and sisters in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
