What a beautiful woman and beautiful soul. She was my favorite teacher in grade school. Never a harsh word, always smiling. For a woman small in stature she was larger then life I have many great memories of her. As I told her son Greg...I'll always remember "First you work, then you play, then you have a happy day!" God bless you all!

I had the privilege of knowing Nancy through her devoted cousin, Denise. She was such a wonderful mother, grandmother, teacher, gardener , and most importantly, friend. My sincere condolences to her family.

I was a student of Mrs. Hennessey's for both first and second grade. She was a fabulous teacher and over the years I was delighted that she still recognized me when I'd run into her around town. I even had the opportunity to introduce her to my husband just a few years ago. I will always be grateful for the wonderful memories I have from her classroom, which included our class playing "Another Brick in the Wall" over and over and over again, much to her chagrin I found out later, though she never said a word at the time. She will truly be missed by many.

My condolences to all of you. Nancy (I always referred to her as Mrs. Hennessey and I was always Mr. Winchell) was an awesome woman, teacher and most of all a great friend. I had the pleasure of working at Wheelock with her and talking everyday (that is where I first met Susan when she would come after the school day ended). Mrs. Hennessey will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
